Grants and Funding
The Trustees of Knowle United Charity consider applications for grants from residents living in the ecclesiastical parishes of Knowle, Dorridge, Barston, Temple Balsall and the civil parishes of Balsall Common and Chadwick End.
Grants may be awarded at the discretion of the Trustees to support the relief of need and the promotion of education within these areas.

1. General Grants
Relief of Need
Individuals facing exceptional hardship may apply for a grant to help with a specific need.
Relief of Need & Promotion of Education
Support may also be given to individuals or organisations working with young people or vulnerable groups. For example, grants may be made to schools and preschools within the Charity area for educational equipment.
Community Groups
The Charity has previously funded items such as equipment for playgroups, children’s play areas, church youth groups, scouts, and sheltered accommodation. Applications for a specific item or part of a project are preferred. Supporting documents must be included with the application.
2. Educational Grants for Students
Non–means tested grants are available to school leavers aged 18+ living within the Charity’s area of benefit. Grants are typically £400–£500 per year, helping with the costs of:
-
Books and study materials
-
Computer equipment
-
Travel expenses

Supporting documentation is required with each application.
