Previous Grants
For more than 300 years, Knowle United Charity has supported local residents through its original trusts and, more recently, the amalgamated charity. In recent years, grants have been awarded to a wide range of individuals, schools, and community organisations, including:

Local churches – support for youth workers.

Community and church halls – funding for catering equipment and resources for activities benefiting young people and vulnerable groups in Bentley Heath, Barston, Dorridge, and Chadwick End.

Preschools – playmats and educational play equipment.

Schools – regular grants to improve facilities for children, including books, sports and educational equipment, outdoor play areas, trim tracks, and even a peace garden.

Covid-19 response – grants provided to local schools across two years to help meet additional needs during restrictions.

Student educational grants – supporting school leavers with costs of further education such as books, technology, and accommodation.

Student travel grants – enabling young people to take part in charitable, research, or community projects both in the UK and abroad.

Playgrounds – funding for local village play equipment.

Youth and sports groups – grants for scout groups and sports clubs to replace or upgrade equipment.

Sheltered accommodation – support for renovations at Berrow Homes.

Individuals in need – grants to residents facing significant financial hardship for specific, essential purposes.
